@janriemer@floss.social colleague who doesn't know any Rust let the AI rewrite some of his Python in Rust, for performance. It was a good idea. The AI proceeded not to use pyo3 or some sensible ffi framework, and instead used raw pointers to pass data around. Both on the Rust and on the Python side. I think he still believes this is the correct way to do this.
