But it's mostly used for “vagina” now, or “coward”/“weakling”/“effeminate man”. “pussy-cat” might be used. “pussy” isn't gendered, can be a male or female cat AIUI. Now-a-days “kitty” is commonly used as a cute word for a cat. The German slang for a vagina „Muschi” is also derived from “pussy-cat” The proper word for a female dog is “bitch”, which is also an insult that you can't say in polite company.
