#3GoodThings 1. We had foundation plants (azalea, nandina and rhododendron) cleared from the second side of our house this week. We'll get pea gravel put over the dirt later. (This is part of a long project to reduce fire danger to our house, given the warmer, drier summers we have these days.) 2. I finished reading Ann Patchett's new novel, _Whistler_, it is excellent. 3. Many of the lilies I transplanted in March are blooming or in bud.
