Ngl I luurves me some BSD. It’s often used in many of the big Unis here in the UK for various tasks.

Something I’ve been wondering for a while is why would someone use a BSD over a Linux distro? There’s some applications that seem more obvious, like I’ve seen diy router builds using some flavor of BSD and there’s server stuff I’m sure that some people prefer over (or are just better than) other options, but people have ported KDE Plasma and a lot of other stuff to it and… Why?
