Found this beautiful Currant Clearwing (Synanthedon tipuliformis) on my allotment today. It does not look like one but this is actually a moth! It is quite small and not easy to find. The larvae feed internally on the shoots of red currant and black currant bushes (Ribes), but as they are not common they don`t do any obvious damage. #insects #moths
