I just drew my first ever triangle on classic Mac OS! 🥹 I *so* wanted to program for our Macintosh¹ when I was younger, but I lacked the understanding, the money(?) and the English skills. Only many years later when we got a PC was I able to install a mysterious “compiler” thingie and start working on my “Teach Yourself C++ in 21 Days” book.² I have some very silly plans for some classic Mac OS development for my beautiful iBook G3, and now it might actually happen! Thanks to the amazing Retro68 project and their nix support, I'm able to develop on my other machine (where I can use a *good* editor 😇) and compile a native binary. I'll probably try to set up a dev environment on the iBook too at some point, but that will have to come later. ☺️ [1] Yes, they were Macintoshes back then! We had a Macintosh Performa 5320. [2] It took me way more than 21 *weeks* to get through that book!
