@ifixcoinops@retro.social I was quite young when I learned to read. Mom realized I was ready and just fucking went for it.
Then she was able to "get 40 winks" while I read my little books :D

@catmisgivings@stranger.social this is SO important. Teaching your kid to read very early means you get mithered SO much less
