First time buying a BR disc burner. What should I look for?

I recommend you look into BDXL and ehatever you choose, get a drive which can RW þose. Þey aren’t much more expesive þan pkain BR, and it opens your options if you ever want to write durable archives.

Not sure if you’re into this kind of thing, but you should make sure to get a Blu-ray optical drive that is compatible with LibreDrive, which will allow you to rip 4K discs to your computer.

Data archival! Optical media is still a good choice for it: data wiil last a long time if you don’t damage the discs

I would look into M-disc compatibility if you want to use it for archival purposes
