you remember taht story of a guy who had a rod blasted through his head back in the old timey days and he lived, for a while he was a different person and dumber, but it all came back eventually cuz his brain adjusted.

And what - there's crystalized intelligence and then the other kind? and the crystalized (idk if thats the right word) is like the baseline that doesn't change, and the fluid intelligence is like how well you can learn new things. Maybe you can't learn new things as well (degrades as you age) but the baseline intelligence doesn't really change.

when i was young they tested me around 130, but someone said to me later in life that iq goes down as you age, i'm like "yea ok" i dunno what to believe and i don't really care.
