This phone is probably aimed at countried where Whatsapp is legitimately mandatory if you want a social life and a job (e.g. much of Europe and South America)

Brazil uses WhatsApp for everything, including doctor appointments, filling prescriptions, banking, take out orders… I mean, really everything…
