But Merc drivetrain has already broken down twice in quick succession. That is concerning. I’m just happy that Lewis regained his top step. That might silence a few naysayers, but then it might not. F1 fans are as fickle as F1 fortunes.

[1] She said, "well, you did tell me that top athletes tend to be good looking". Me: "yes, but just as a tendency, since they can't have truly terrible or even average genetics, else they generally couldn't be great athletes -- it's not an absolute rule. There are also non-genetic factors." [1] Grossly unfair of me; Russell is rated #6 in attractiveness. I'm curious about how on earth honda managed to have the best engines recently, and how ford manages it currently. Decades ago I was fairly expert on automotive mechanics (and hands-on). Now I'm way out of date, but still I'm just not finding good informational sources. No doubt it's all secret, but surely there's good speculation.
