@ben_hr I don't have the answers either. These are the questions that keep me up at night. I like the idea of being guided by principles in the absence of a clear goal - although I've come to the conclusion that some people can hide pretty terrible behaviour behind a veneer of principles which is why I keep returning to something that's been bugging me for years: I believe that what matters most, beyond everything else, is the character (not reputation) of the people we choose to surround ourselves with as we make our way into the future.
If we don't surround ourselves with people who've done the shadow-work and faced their ego, then no true change can be created on a wider scale because those characterless individuals who care only about their own selfish wants and/or their reputation can't help but destroy everything around them, although in reference to my earlier point, these people do create tensions within communities that force evolution and a raising of the wider consciousness, so how can I even say that they're not welcome?
Another conundrum.
I don't expect you to have the answers - your post just triggered an opportunity to think out loud.
