@kathimmel I boosted this to remind me to watch it because I've been boycotting Amazon for years over their union-busting activities. Honestly, as happy as I am that Oobah made this documentary to raise the issue in the wider consciousness, especially the fact that Amazon hired hundreds of unneeded staff right around the time of the union vote which meant that the union didn't have 50% support (that is a fucking disgraceful thing to do), I felt predominantly underwhelmed by the rest of it to the point that I didn't watch it until the end. I get that Oobah's schtick is a pretty lightweight approach to a serious subject, but I wanted to know more about the union's next move: did Amazon then keep on all the new staff and fire all those fighting for union rights? What happened to them? Is the union dead or are they still trying? The piss in bottles was less appealing to me and felt gimmicky. I also got the impression that he was more terrified of being around so many working-class people than he was of Amazon. But he's doing good work by using his voice and profile to raise awareness and for that he deserves a cheer.
