The counterargument is basically rule utilitarianism, right? That not only the direct outputs of your actions matter, but also the processes and social norms that you reinforce, and the total side effects of those.
(At least I think that’s what rule utilitarianism is.)

I don’t think op has thought that well about it, this felt more like a gotcha argument. 'you say it is all unethical but I found a small (for me) exception so all your arguments are invalid. Saw much of people do a similar thing on bsky last weekend. A sort of thing going (from a different era) ‘ha you say you are totally against blockchains/nfts? Well you still use github and that is a blockchain, sl better stop using all software’.
