so, the mrs is watching this show called the handmaid's tale (supposed to be some kind of spin off from the book). of the couple episodes i've half paid attention to, i think its got a very good depiction of real life by just making a couple small changes: replace "God" with "Allah" replace "Gilead" with "New Mecca" replace "prayer" with banging your head against the floor maybe a couple other small tweaks but pretty close to that kind of society currently practiced half way around the world
