If you always have cattle panel laying around like I do, it's really easy to make your own tomato cages instead of buying them, and it's a bit nicer than a stake if you have an area that doesn't have a string trellis or anything like that

You call that cattle panel? I would call that goat fencing. Cattle panels to me are the detachable metal tube frame fence pieces that you can build chutes and corrals out of.
