Apple News is the one app on my phone that escapes content blockers, so I keep seeing all those low-quality ads targeted at boomers who don’t know how to use content blockers. Stuff like this: 🧵

Let’s set aside the fact that #AppleNews is cringe and it only exists to dodge adblockers to display chumbox ads like these. We’re talking about bread clips and tinfoil. Of course I didn’t click the ads, but DuckDuckGo-ing bread clips led me to this: https://www.wikihow.com/Why-Keep-a-Bread-Clip-in-Your-Wallet There’s also a Snopes article which, ironically, begs you to turn off adblockers (reader mode works): https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/bread-clip-wallet/ It’s basically 5-minute crafts. If you haven’t gone down that rabbit hole yet, do it. It’s deep!
