#ScribesAndMakers 6/14 Most people are opposed to gatekeeping, but (aside from the obvious need to keep out AI garbage), do you think there should be any form of "quality control" [for] self-published work? I have read at least one trad-published recent book by an established author which was, for lack of a better word, crap. Well past just "I didn't like the story". I have read quite a few indie authors' books which have been great. "Quality control" or gatekeeping is clearly not the answer.
