I was never really a big fan of Neurosis but out of no where they got Aarron Turner (Who imo is T H E GUY when it comes to post/sludge metal like imo he is the most talented mother fugger out there in this scene) to join them for an album after years of silence and it's a pretty good album https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UJk5qjYqhMA And like yea I've even noticed that there is a small handfull of metalcore bands that are taking the good things from the early 2000's core and doing even better it in a new way (Above, Below is the one that comes at the top of my head) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Is2SJ4z1QEs And a handfull of the metalcore bands are doing what they're doing with a touch of dirty/shoegaze esq tones which is just :chefskiss:
