FYI: Referring to Native Nations as tribes is a colonizer method to minimize and delegitimize Native sovereignty, and continue paper genocide to erase the Native peoples. Takeaway: Refer to Native Nations as exactly what they are, Native Nations, Indigenous Nations, First Nations, etc. Always Nation not tribe. Regardless of who/what ever you see referring to tribes. #Native #Indigenous
