As long as the money does not go to #LLMs , but maybe to research to find out how crappy LLMs are, and to actual #machinelearning I am absolutely fine with this. It may actually propel advances in #astronomy , too.

@jerrej@mastodon.social I'd rather have the funding go to actual scientists who can decide themselves the best way to spend the funds.
