I’m working on an MFM emulator board (or I will be, I swear, once I finish a project I’m doing for someone else…). I designed it to work with the JVC 26-pin interface used by some laptops. But I don’t have anything that uses that. So I uh… bought a laptop.

The Toshiba T1200, a turbo XT-class machine and follow-up to the T1000 and T1100. This one improves on its predecessors by having a 20MB HDD. They’re not too expensive in unknown condition. This one cost me about $110 shipped. It’s definitely used, but not abused, and I’m hopeful it only needs minor repairs.
