@space_cadet@aus.social When I read such nonsense, my first thought is always that it's fake. Simply because I can't, don't want to believe, that such stupid specimens of the species Homo sapiens exist. But it seems to be real...

@scheichsbeutel@troet.cafe @space_cadet@aus.social I am a middle-aged woman and I can confirm that those people are everywhere. A couple weeks ago I encountered a man who believes space is not real, that we live under a dome and God projects lights upon it so that’s why we see stars and the sun and the moon and stuff. This man was a New Hampshire state representative who ran for sheriffs office even though he had recently been released from prison for making pipe bombs. It’s a hot mess up here in this tiny corner of the USA
