As someone who was into protocols in the 1900s, it's delightful to find https://sequencediagram.org/ exists, for quick noodling on designs. I don't trust it to always exist as a tool, but the text export of the file is easy enough to work with later if I need to. And the images paste nicely into my Joplin notebooks.
