So women get that stuff too… That’s kind of what I was wondering, if it was just algorithms. Maybe that is just how social media are these days…
How can they allow this and not expect it to fuck up people? I am so so worried about my nieces when they grow older. Their cousin, the same age as the older niece, used to be a soft and sensitive boy, but he is so hard, calloused now. He already has so many preconceived ideas about things. I feel like social media pulled him into the world of toxic masculinity before he even reached puberty.

I honestly don’t know the answer. I had the internet pretty early on compared to my peers, back when parents didn’t know anything. I saw porn and gore and went through some weird phases before growing up. Some things are better now, some things are much worse. All I know is I can’t change the world, I can only help prepare the kids for what they’re gonna see.
