IMO The most fantastic and unbelievable detail of The #Hobbit is that on any given night, in a home with only one occupant, and in the absence of refrigeration, Bilbo has enough food in his storeroom (including fruit, produce and cheese) to feed an entire party. Dried meats, sealed cheese wheels and some herbs and garlic I can see that working for, but produce? The dragon is more realistic.
