A friend and I check into the Sunset Marquis in LA a few hours ago. The guy at the desk says "Ms Scheinberg, welcome back!" and is so thrilled to tell me that they've upgraded our room I panic "Wait, I know this sounds nuts, but can we see the upgraded room first?" The front desk people trade looks "I'm sorry, it's just that the room I reserved has a table perfect for building jigsaw puzzles and I want to make sure that the upgraded room has an appropriate table..." The lovely upgraded suite did *not* have a suitable table, and we hemmed and hawed about keeping our original room. We finally said we'd take the upgrade and ten minutes later there's a knock on the door. They brought us a banquet table I can only imagine the note they put in my file Very excited to see @ericmead@mas.to at The Magic Castle tomorrow evening
