Palestinians have a special type of ego on them for whatever reason. Many years ago, when palestine activism was still a niche hobby for campus commies and I still couldn't point to it on a map, I knew two palestinian girls who were the most insufferable plastic commies I'd ever met and the other socialist LARPers would worship the ground they walked on. They wore the hijab or whatever head covering it was on campus, but I used to see them both at parties dressed down and acting like any other sexually liberated twenty-something female at the time. "I'm a muslim, sure, but I bet you didnt realise i was... A PALESTINIAN!" was the general attitude they had.
