The UN has published a new approach for measuring how well a country is doing.
Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is still a frequently used metric, but: “GDP ignores inequality and poverty. It does not capture environmental degradation. It misses non-monetary dimensions of well-being, like health, education and peace.”
