@valkyrie@wandering.shop I love the idea of swapping memory resources from constrained systems to systems with plentiful RAM. Which begs the question…. Would swapping out pages across the network (say, gigabit) be faster than using local swap backed by the type of flash common to small single-board-computers like Raspberry Pi’s? That is, microSD or eMMC?

    @JustinDerrick@infosec.exchange i would say gigabit far outperforms a microSD but eMMC i'm not sure. i think it depeneds entirely on the context and conditions of I/O and throughput. these are great questions
