Threads is blowing up right now over a publisher saying romance books don't necessarily need a happily ever after....... Clearly those people need to relearn reader common courtesies rules rather than bully each other over it, especially since their take is "it's a base requirement!" Like... No? A note about it on the book for readers would be nice since it's not as common but like how have they never come across a story, show, or movie like that?? BE isn't really my thing and yet I even read a book with one like three weeks ago that I'm still emotionally damaged over but it was like a thousand percent romance. Man if there was a way for publicity without being in awful public spaces that would be so nice. Kinda hate it there but it's where I get the most interaction 🥲
