Have to do hrt on my own because doctors give me a choice of meds that cause depression, and meds that prevent me from sleeping, but gnrh agonists are literally illegal in germany for trans people. It all comes back full circle.

It seems that at least here in the US, once you pass a certain threshold for self-managed/ "unapproved" work on your own body, any doc you go to want to do a great deal of defensive medicine and some will hassle you. Having ever gone through this is a trust-breaker for me. This is not really a surprise. It's like taking a hot-rodded car that has diverged from what's in the shop manual to the corner garage. Always the work you've done yourself gets blamed for any but the most obvious problems. Never mind that continuing the automotive analogy, a plugged fuel filter has the exact same effects on any car modified or not. So does covid or the flu on the human body. We are now at the point in the US that anyone who gets problems during a self-managed abortion via pills has to deny having used the pills no matter what happens due to legal risks. The last doc I was really able to trust from India, and he did not judge me for things like selling sex. I'm aromantic so "hustling" was an easy way for me to get money with no commitments when I was younger.
