@antnommer@meow.social So if you post a 15-post thread, that blasts 15 posts all over the place.
If you set the first to public, and the rest to unlisted, it'll only blast the root post everywhere, but people can click on it to see the whole thread.
It's often unnecessary since few servers restrict a single post to 280 characters (and some, like mine, have huge limits so we can post giant novels in a single post if we want).
But in the case where you want to thread with multiple posts, that's a common point of etiquette.

@chrisabides@infosec.exchange @antnommer@meow.social I'm struggling to figure out how to do this (at least in the official app). For visibility, I have public, tagged, or followers. I can't seem to find an option that would give that behavior. I'm trying to be good, I promise!
