@rachaelspooky@cyberpunk.lol Never understood the need to abandon Firefox for Librewolf tbh. (Plus it's not available on Android, and since I use the sync feature extensively...) Also while Firefox is already fighting for it's life as the last browser people know about that isn't Chrome, it seems weird to cause them harm by jumping to a fork.

Browser, VPN, Calendar, Phone Dialer, Notes, see https://github.com/goastian Privacy & Small footprint essential, any Dev not working on this undeserving of support

@rachaelspooky@cyberpunk.lol if youre tech savvy and want to tinker, lookup Arkenfox. Librewolf is basically arkenfox built in. But Librewolf mandates certain things. So if you find you need more customizability, Arken is the way to go ;). (all arkenfox does is it is a set of settings (from http://about:config/ page) that are loaded on every startup. They are put inside a user.js file which is supported by firefox natively. Arkenfox lists all these flags and which ones to toggle to remove firefox tracking and the like. Its wicked AF)

@rachaelspooky@cyberpunk.lol thank you for this. Often its "don't use XYZ browser" and the inevitable "Browser that respects my privacy and security" search turns up Brave, DDG, Etc. So thank you for offering a actually new-to-me alternative that afaict, is exactly what I need.

MULL IS DISCONTINUED AS OF 12/23/24 (MM/DD/YY) AS PART OF DIVESTOS ENDING. IT ISN'T BEING UPDATED ANYMORE THE ONLY FORK I KNOW OF THAT AIMS TO CONTINUE MULL'S LEGACY IS "IronFox" @rachaelspooky@cyberpunk.lol

@rachaelspooky@cyberpunk.lol Back when Chrome went super evil (2023), I ended up with Brave, thinking that a Chromium based browser might be more compatible, and Brave was supposed to be good for privacy. It seems like I made the wrong choice, but since Android is a key platform for me I gather LibreWolf is out. Vivaldi sounds like it's more complicated than it's worth, so I'm thinking I'll just try Firefox. It also supports Privacy Badger, which seems like a good thing. Update: I saw your 2024 post due to a recent boost by @RamenCatholic@mindly.social
