@niutech@fosstodon.org @tomayac@toot.cafe @mozilla@mozilla.social @kripken@fosstodon.org > Is it already possible to port a web engine (WebKit/Blink/Gecko/Ladybird) to #Wasm using e.g CanvasKit? I remember someone did that with WebKit and asm.js even before Wasm appeared, so yeah.

@rreverser@mastodon.social @tomayac@toot.cafe @mozilla@mozilla.social @kripken@fosstodon.org Do you mean https://github.com/trevorlinton/webkit.js (demo: http://trevorlinton.github.io)? Awesome given that it was made 10 years ago! Why not resurrect it now when we have GC and threads in Wasm? There were also @emscripten@fosstodon.org-@qt@floss.social demos from 10 years ago: https://web.archive.org/web/20210917050522/http://vps2.etotheipiplusone.com:30176/redmine/projects/emscripten-qt/wiki/Demos/
