I"m not sure I understand your question.
I think it's a safe assumption that people use AI instead because it's easier and/or more familiar, since it's conversational rather than requiring they learn arcane runes. If something is already easy to do, there's no reason to use AI.

At the same time a lot of "next layers" on cron config or a long list of "shells" exist - which was for long time visible in your prefered search engine. And there is something i learned in company AI training: prompt engineering, so AI is still not there to be the "best" UX
