@megatronicthronbanks@mastodon.social @gdinwiddie@mastodon.social every Polynesian language is simpler than English. it's not simplicity that makes English useful, it's its status as a global "lingua franca" which is a result of centuries of colonization, the US being the current cultural and economic colonizer of the world for the past hundred years.
