@jacqui76@mastodon.ie Cellphones, 18th century periwigs, and indifference to the suffering of others—how typical of 21st century English jurisprudence! (Full disclosure: I’m a citizen of the US. Despite our Declaration of Independence from Georgian indifference to the fate of others, and our eventual integration of the once despised Irish and Jewish immigrant population, at this point modesty and a history of slavery and genocide should incline us to keep our mouths shut.) Sorry for the cultural arrogance!
