It’s interesting that “Winter 2026” in yesterday’s Pokémon Pokopia announcement triggered multiple warnings for a wiki user.
⁃ Using season to express time period is kinda northern-hemisphere-centric.
⁃ Even in the northern hemisphere/Japan, Winter 2026 would mean early 2026, late 2026 or early 2027.
⁃ Even it’s a future context, we don’t know it’s actually 2026.
⁃ Using “this winter in northern hemisphere” might be accurate but would be invalidated in future.
