@BriBear@blahaj.zone @Melezioh@mstdn.games @crazyeddie@mastodon.social tbf, I don’t think I know what OP meant either. What is wrong with “feminising” men?

@argentum@mas.to @Melezioh@mstdn.games @crazyeddie@mastodon.social well I don't know which traits we're talking about. It's really down to language use for me. For instance I think men should be generally more aware of their emotions and process them in a healthier manner but I don't think of that as feminisation. I don't see healthy emotional processing as a gendered trait even though wider society might. If that's something you see as feminisation then we both agree that it's a trait that should be encouraged in people regardless of gender and that it's something that is lacking more generally in men. So we would agree on the action of encouraging that but we may not agree on using the term feminisation because it makes it sound like the trait is gendered. You could mean something completely different. Without the operational definition of what we're discussing it's hard to actually discuss. I really hope I'm not coming across as argumentative as that's certainly not my intent. I would like to understand what the intent and meaning of what is being said is so if I do have any further discussion we're not talking past eachother.
