@mo@icelandphotos.co.uk it seems the elf rock just dropped out of the sky. I wonder how bizarre it must be to live there with this "rock" in your back garden.

@carrottom@det.social It does look as if it just landed there, but it was actually an island in the sea before the volcanoes left sediment which built up until it was higher than sea level. It's very fertile land, so I would guess that the farmers are happy to live there! 'Serendipity' is a great word. I love to learn things, and I'm happy to have shown you something new! 😊
