@atro@fosstodon.org the results of the election last week were showing that the public generally supported what Democrats were doing. They had a winning issue (healthcare premiums) and could frame it as a moral issue! You had Trump squirming and telling the Senate GOP to scrap the filibuster, which nobody wanted to do. Now the shutdown was for nothing.
