E. C. Tubb — Moon Base (1964)
has an investigator, Felix Larsen, sent to a Moon base under secret/cover orders, with strange deaths/incidents and a mystery around the base;
But: no evidence that Larsen is blind, sees people as colorful geometric objects.
T. Jefferson Parker — The Fallen
has the “detective sees people/emotions as colored geometric shapes” clue almost exactly, but it’s a modern Earthbound crime novel, not a mid-’60s Moon-colony SF book.

@CausticHarmony@mastodon.social @Bette@mstdn.social If ya gonna slop research, the least you can do is actually read the slop, look up the sources, and verify the information before saying “AI suggested X. I checked the synopsis on Wikipedia and it looks like your book.”
