Then you know that science about global topics doesn't know borders of nations. Scientists discuss facts, they rely on data that have been repeatedly verified in experiments ... so long as others find other data, discuss, make experiments ... to prove the old ones or find new answers.
Therefore, scientists from different countries work together. European scientists work with data from the US, or China, or any small African state, as long as they

@rzeta0@mastodon.ie are independently proven. That has absolutely nothing to do with whether we become politically and structurally independent from the US; that is a completely different matter! But the world’s problems regarding climate change/the environment are so urgent that, even if we were *completely independent*, we would still need cooperation and, above all, data. Every data gap caused by national interests is a loss for humanity and for all our futures! And we have the danger of @superflippy@mastodon.xyz
