@StarkRG@myside-yourside.net Yeah. And what “emerging technologies” are they going to use to replace these buoys? Does he imagine he can send a fleet of drones to hover 40 miles off the coast 24/7?

@superflippy@mastodon.xyz It's obviously just bluster so he doesn't have to say "the current priorities of the NSF, as directed by the Executive Branch, do not include anything that can't be immediately monetized, and definitely not anything that threatens current industry."
