@superflippy@mastodon.xyz Why would they seek to dismantle the system rather than simply let it rot by cutting the funding? If cost is the issue here, isn't it cheaper to just let it be? I doubt it's ecological sentiment as they haven't really shown this is their concern. One explanation could be that they just want to prevent further gathering of evidence for climate change. #climatechange

@matejpp@tenforward.social @superflippy@mastodon.xyz I think it's about sending a signal to whoever Trump feels like is an enemy for believing in climate change. The guy is very much about revenge, grievances and making them public.
