When my daughter was 3 she asked me what was that building as we were passing along a church; my immediate answer was « it’s a place where people, when they didn’t understand the world we live in as much as we do now, used to gather to fear that world in communion. ».
I stand by that definition.

@Vive_Levant@masto.bike Why did you ask me a question, only to tell me to not speak? If you do not want an answer, do not ask. I do not go to man-made religious church services, and I do not like listening to paid sermons, so we might be in some agreement there. #Jesus Himself was not treated well by the religious leaders, who demanded his public crucifixion.
