That makes no justice for their uncountable victims all over the world. The power system in the US just works differently. Domestically, the government doesn't need so much brutal, obvious violence (although there is quite an amount) as the Iranian regime to keep power. An important part of the mechanism to keep population in line is a sophisticated machinery of propaganda, combined with consumerism obtained through the exploitation of nature and humans all over the world. Also, I hope we can agree at least on the fact that the current ruling class in the US is not motivated by humanisitc values and surprisingly successful in dismantling the institutions and power controls their political system had.
