See, the thing about "Wise Man's Grandchild" #anime is where he has to kill his friend who becomes a demonoid, and he's a little troubled for a bit of the next episode, and that's it. There's a devaluation of human life there that disturbs me. I'm understanding of the idea that if you focus on hate, if you are constantly angry and nurturing a sense of paranoia and self-injury, that you lose your rationality and become a demon. That's a common theme recently and I think it's a decent metaphor.
