@deviantollam@defcon.social @freediverx@mastodon.social I know very little about guns (and that comes from TV/movies, so a fair bit of what I know is wrong). But if I were designing gun safety I would borrow from cyber security, which I know a bit about. There is an idea of security in depth: just having password policies (for example) isn't enough. You would want a hardware token, and VPNs for remote login, and a way to audit activity to find if someone logged in who shouldn't have. So with guns I might want safety training and safeties on guns and behavioural audits to check when retraining might be needed.
